Fun with VBS script – Open DVD/CD Drive infinitely

We can do many funny things with VBS scripts and one of the most famous trick is ejecting a cd/dvd drive infinitely. So lets see how to do it.
Step #1: Open up your notepad and copy paste the following code.

Set oWMP = CreateObject("WMPlayer.OCX.7" )

How To Disable The “Turn off Computer” Button

Here i’ll show you a tip which is very useful particularly for those users who want to restrict the common users to shutdown public computer in common areas. You can disable the “Turn off Computer” button on the start menu and a common user will not be able to “Turn Off, Restart and Stand By” a computer. Using registry editor, you can implement this task in all windows XP versions with minimum effort.

Let’s start:

1. First of all you need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights to use this feature.

Now Click Start button and type regedit in Run option then press Enter for next.

2. Here locate the location to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer

How to make an undeletable folder

Sometimes happens that someone is deleting a folder, which is very important to you. If you would like to avoid anything similar happening in future, you can protect your important folders by making them undeletable. Here i’ll show you simple tutorial, which can help you.

1. Open cmd ( Type in Run option, the command ‘cmd’ or navigate to All Programs->Accessories-> Command Prompt)

2. In cmd change to the directory that you want ( you can use the commands ” cd…” to exit the curent folder and “E:” for example to change from your current drive to E drive.

Hide Your Files In A JPEG Image

Well, did you know you could hide your files in a JPEG file?

For this, you will only need to download WinRAR. You just need to have a little knowledge about Command Prompt and have WinRAR installed.

Ok, lets begin…

1. Gather all the files that you wish to hide in a folder anywhere in your PC (make it in C:\infotune – RECOMMENDED).
2. Now, add those files in a RAR archive (e.g. tune-tech.rar). This file should also be in the same directory (C:\infotune).
3. Now, look for a simple JPEG picture file (e.g. abc.jpg). Copy/Paste that file also in C:\infotune.
4. Now, open Command Prompt (Go to Run and type ‘cmd‘). Make your working directory C:\infotune.

Folder Options Missing??

Many of us sometimes find the folder options missing in windows explorer due to some virus or trojan effect.

Here’s the solution–>

Open Run and then type “gpedit.msc”.
Now goto : User Configuration > Administrative templates > Windows Component > Windows Explorer.

Click on Windows Explorer you will find the 3rd option on the right side of screen

“Removes the Folder Option menu item from the Tools menu”
Just check it, if it is not configured then change it to enable by double clicking on it and after applying again set it to not configured.
